This recognition takes on special significance as it is the result of a blind tasting in which around 1.000 tasters participated, between industry professionals and consumers, thus combining technical criteria with the real perception of the market.
The Tierra del Quijote Regional Wine Competition is distinguished by its participatory nature and rigorous methodology. The competition brings together a large, mixed jury composed of 1.000 waste pickers, between professionals in the sector —sommeliers, winemakers, distributors or specialized journalists— and enthusiasts with knowledge of tasting, which allows the integration of the technical vision with the real perception of the consumer.
The evaluation process is carried out through blind tastingThe anonymity of the samples is guaranteed through a coding system verified by a notary. Each wine is analyzed by a large number of tasters distributed across organized tables, and the scores are obtained from the median of the ratings, thus ensuring maximum objectivity in the final result.
