Our Story
THE WINERY
Bodegas Alcardet was founded in 1973 as a result of the dynamic and entrepreneurial character of a group of winegrowers, thus consolidating a winemaking tradition with its own personality.
The production of our wines is a perfect combination of traditional methods with the use of technologies more cutting-edge, thus allowing for the creation of modern and complex wines.
In just a few years we have become a benchmark for high-quality wines and producers of 15 native varieties. In addition, we are pioneers in the production and organic vine cultivation.
At the winery, we consider wine to be the protagonist of a story, a culture and a symbol of identity.
THE VINEYARDS
The wines are made in the vineyards. Our work begins in the soil, where our field technicians work every day to enhance the qualities and characteristics of each grape variety.
The limestone soil and extreme climate of our area requires a effort and dedication to express the character of each wine. For this reason, the technical department observes and works in the field throughout the year to control and manage the cultivation of the vine.
During this period, many tasks are carried out manually, such as winter or dry pruning, green pruning, de-stumping, thinning until the harvest. All these practices are carried out with precision and at the exact moment.
Each of our wines has its origin in very specific vineyards. Both the wine and the vineyard are worked in synergy; with the aim of achieving a excellent quality and own personality.
